Film Culture Development Non-Governmental Organization
It is in communicating with the other that we get to know ourselves. By knowing ourselves, we strive to know the stranger, and only by knowing do we become filled with sympathy for them. And the opposite is true: the unfamiliar and incomprehensible give birth to mistrust, fear, and hostility. To know the life and customs of different nations and tribes, social and religious groups, and individuals—their traditions, problems, and experiences—this is the call and aspiration of the "Filmadaran" NGO and the "Apricot Tree" International Film Festival.
Since 2016, "Filmadaran" has been engaged in diverse activities aimed at developing film culture in Armenia and beyond.
